Talis Group's client is a large, prestigious, Award-Winning, multi-state law firm. They are seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to work out of their Louisville office and will be responsible for generating invoices for multiple office locations. The Legal Billing Specialist will compile data and prepare invoices for billing purposes and assist attorneys, staff, and clients with billing inquiries. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire position that offers great benefits including medical, health, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) plan. Hours are 8:30-5 Monday - Friday with 3 days in the office and 2 days to work remote.Job Requirements:Highlighted Duties: Recognizes that service to clients (both internal and external) is the Firm's number one priority. Prepare, edit, and distribute performas monthly; must adhere to monthly and yearly deadlines. Provide both clients and attorneys with information including: preparation of invoice/payment histories; locating and mailing invoice copies; providing explanation for expense charges. Must be able to work closely with attorneys and their legal assistants to ensure timely and accurate processing of client invoices, this includes working with the other Firm's offices on a national and global level. - Utilize software to electronically bill clients- This includes assisting with the initial set up, properly mapping clients, assist with budgets, ensure billing rates are approved, submit invoices electronically, and work with attorneys to analyze and resolve billing issues. Ensure retainers and client trust funds are properly applied to client invoices. Assist the accounting department with other special billing requests as needed.
