Loan Servicing Specialist will provide loan accounting services to
Farm Credit Mid-America offices by analyzing requests, reconciling
loan related accounts, providing phone support to branch offices,
creating accounting system entries using the appropriate procedures
and accounting principles and ensuring the work is accurate. This
position is expected to resolve a wide variety of loan accounting
problems and to identify accounting system problems or issues and
refers to the director for resolution. Organizes and prioritizes
work to meet processing deadlines. How You Will Spend Your Time
- Provide quality service and support to Farm Credit Mid-America
staff, customers, AgriBank staff and outside vendors by answering
questions, researching problems, and providing solutions from
multiple sources including: email, multi-line phone queue and
internal software systems.
- Perform loan servicing actions and reconciliation of loan
related accounts based on analysis of accounting requests by
preparing accounting entries involving complex calculations and
transactions.
- Audit completed loan servicing actions and reconciliations by
other team members for accuracy and completeness.
- Enforce association fraud prevention and compliance by
monitoring reports, approval of outgoing wires, ACH disbursement
setups, and the association Fraud Analyst tool daily.
- Provide support for customer correspondence items, review the
receivable reports, and make corrections to billing statements and
accurately generate system receivables.
- Provide support regarding issuance, limit changes, cancellation
and fraudulent transactions for customer disbursement card
program.
- Acquire and maintain expertise in accounting systems,
association practices and procedures to provide technical support
to Farm Credit Mid-America staff on servicing issues. Minimum
Education & ExperienceAssociate's Degree or equivalent classroom
hours plus one to two years of experience in loan servicing,
accounting, banking or financially related customer support while
using a variety of business software, demonstrating proficiency in
Excel, or Bachelor's Degree plus a demonstrated proficiency in
Excel. Mental & Physical Requirements
- Engage in telephone and face-to-face conversation to serve
customers and give and receive information from staff, vendors,
outside consultants and the public.
- Use a computer and similar office technology and tools. This
involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
- Speak and make presentations to individuals or groups on
technical subjects related to job.
- Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out
essential responsibilities of the job.
- Successfully interact with and represent the organization to
staff, officers, board members, customers, vendors, and/or the
public at all levels.
- Provide sound technical advice to leaders and other staff in
the subject field(s) related to this position.
- Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting
concepts, programs, terminology, and methods.
- Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide, and
critique such information as written material, numerical data,
responses to customer needs, and/or other related work activities.
