Position Overview:

As a Finance Lead - Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for leading and implementing various financial initiatives and strategies to optimize the cost and performance of our supply chain. You will work closely with key stakeholders from engineering, operations, procurement, and other functions to ensure alignment and transparency of material costs, inventory management, supplier performance, and capital investments. You will also provide analytical support and insights to improve gross margin, pricing, and productivity. You will report to the Director of Finance and Operations and be part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Investigate and implement opportunities to utilize new financial ideologies and models to improve the predictability of our costs, such as commodities cost monitoring, hedging, fixed price supplements, etc.
  • Lead the process for strategic supplier inventory requirements and related inventory control processes, especially for the complex electronic components sourcing deployment with KTC, CCI, and other distributors. Manage and review the stock of -$10M-$15M of inventory and work towards process improvement.
  • Conduct gross margin analytics and monitor the cost vs. price variance (PPV) in purchased raw materials, necessary price increase escalations, and cost overruns. Provide recommendations and action plans to improve profitability.
  • Provide bench strength for operations finance for the three US RI manufacturing sites
  • Partner with key departments such as engineering, operations, and procurement to improve material costs and material cost transparency. Identify and track cost reduction opportunities and initiatives.
  • Track and forecast supplier cost monthly productivity, including the effects of bulk buy, change of supplier, redesign, contract renegotiations, etc.
  • Be deeply engaged in the investment of capital assets for supplier tooling and ensure traceability and safeguard of these Siemens assets.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance scorecard and provide feedback and improvement actions to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    To thrive in this role, you have:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance, supply chain management, or operations in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to handle complex and large data sets and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams and senior management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is preferred.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes and terminology is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in Homestead, PA & Louisville, KY is $107,500 - $145,000 and the base salary range for this position in New York, NY is $128,900 - $174,000. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.
