Instructors is recruiting for immediate placement of dynamic
Special Ed instructors to support students in Grades 9-12. Under
the direction of the University Instructors team, you will lead
whole group Special Ed grades 9-12 instructionUniversity

details.*Role and Responsibilities*In this role, you will:* Work
collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop curriculum
to meet the needs of students.* Design well-structured lessons with
challenging, measurable objectives and appropriate student
engagement strategies, pacing, sequence, activities, materials,
resources, technologies, and grouping.* Possess knowledge of the
developmental levels of students in the classroom and the different
ways these students learn by providing differentiated learning
experiences that enable all students to progress toward meeting
intended outcomes.* Design units of instruction with measurable
outcomes and challenging tasks requiring higher-order thinking
skills that enable students to learn the knowledge and skills
defined in state standards/local curricula.* Consistently use
instructional practices that are likely to motivate and engage most
students.* Consistently and effectively collaborate with colleagues
in such work as developing standards-based units, examining student
work, analyzing student performance, and planning appropriate
interventions.* Participate in relevant professional development
and professional learning communities.* Submit records related to
attendance, student progress, and other UI program requirements on
time.* Document student grades, evaluations, and progress as
district mandates.* Be responsible for enforcing the school-wide
student code of conduct to create an environment safe and conducive
to always learning.* Build rapport with students, families,
community, and school staff* Model professional and ethical
standards when interacting with students, parents, peers, and the
community.* Responsible for additional general duties as indicated
by the principal and directives of the Superintendent.* Complete
other duties as assigned.*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*To be
successful in this role, you must be able to:* Adhere to strict
academic standards aligned with the curriculum.* Demonstrate the
ability to create a positive learning environment that motivates
all students.* Provide feedback and coaching for students in a
manner that promotes learning and growth.* Demonstrate the ability

and Work Experience*As a successful applicant, you must have a
passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need

Document a minimum of three (3) years of successful full-time
classroom experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience)
working with special education students. Experience as a special
education teacher's aide or paraprofessional is acceptable OR* Have
completed nine (9) semester credit hours in special education
coursework OR* Hold ONE of the following majors or at least 18
semester credit hours in ONE of the following subjects: Liberal
Studies, Biology, English, History, Mathematics, Sociology,
Psychology, Political Science, or Music.*University Instructors,
