Company: CDI Engineering SolutionsPosition: Electrical & Instrumentation EngineerLocation: Louisville, KYStart Date: August/September 2022Position Summary:CDI Engineering Solutions is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, with 8 plus years of manufacturing experience to work at our Team Site in Louisville, KY.Position Responsibilities:Lead projects from front end loading to detail design and construction, including procurement, cost and schedule management.Specify Electrical Equipment (switchgear, motor control centers, VFD's, lighting, etc.).Specify Instrumentation (control valves, transmitters, etc.).Perform Electrical Calculations (load studies, voltage drop, motor starting analysis, conduit/cable tray sizing, etc.).Review design documents and prepared Bid and Construction packages.Understand and apply National Electric Code.Able to work efficiently.Interaction with business leaders - manufacture and maintenance to successfully execute capital and expense projects.Work with project controls to develop project cost estimate and final funding.Work with other disciplines to ensure proper design of project.Develop work processes.Up to 10% travel.Position Qualifications:Eight (8) plus years of Engineering experience.Industrial Design Engineering experience.Experience developing Electrical One-Line Diagrams.Experience using Electrical Area Classification drawings to develop detailed design drawings.Exposure to Electric Heat Trace installation design.Experience developing Instrument Loop Diagrams.Exposure to Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) and Safety Instrumented Systems.AutoCAD/MicroStation.Ability to lead projects.Education:Bachelors' of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.All employees are expected to act with integrity and in an honest and ethical manner.CDI Engineering Solutions is an EEO/An Affirmative Action M/F/D/V Employer.
