Job Description:
You will be the Aircraft Mechanic I for our team. Our team is
responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and optimal
functionality of aircraft through scheduled and unscheduled
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of all mechanical systems
and components. What You Will Be Doing As the Aircraft Mechanic I,
you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure
the airworthiness and optimal functionality of aircraft, including
troubleshooting and repair, component repair and replacement,
inspections and tests, and technical documentation. Your
responsibilities will include: Troubleshooting and repairing issues
in aircraft systems, including landing gear, flight controls and
surfaces, anti-icing systems, pneudraulic systems, engines,
auxiliary power units, and ventilation and heating systems.
Repairing, replacing, or rebuilding aircraft components such as
drive systems, control systems, engines, and engine parts to
maintain aircraft integrity and performance. Conducting regular
inspections, including 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase,
and periodic inspections, to ensure compliance with airworthiness
standards and performing tests to validate the functionality of
aircraft systems. Interpreting and applying information from
manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service
bulletins, engineering drawings, and technical data to guide
maintenance activities. Conducting preflight, thru-flight, and
post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft are ready for operation,
perform safely during flight, and are properly secured after

location. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a
facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must
possess an active Secret clearance to start. Basic Qualifications
Applicants must have 6 years of experience with aircraft
maintenance. Applicant must have proficient knowledge of airframe
and system component troubleshooting. Applicants must have a
proficient understanding of repair procedures and the replacement
of components. Applicant must apply a proficient understanding of
aircraft equipment and unique tools as follows (not limited to): •
Fuel Integrity Test Set • Pitot-Static Test Set • Nitrogen
Servicing Unit • Engine Compressor Wash Unit • Flight Control Rig
Equipment • Precision Measuring equipment (such as micrometers,
dial indicators, and alignment fixtures) Applicants must have a
comprehensive understanding of technical publications. Applicants
must properly maintain documentation such as aircraft logs and
records. Applicants must be able to prioritize workload to maintain
schedules and status on assigned projects. Applicant must be able
to travel as required. Applicant must be able to work multiple
shifts and overtime as needed to facilitate program schedule/budget
milestones. This role may require occasional or regular travel.
Desired skills H-60 Aircraft Model experience preferred. Documented
Military/DOD Service School or Civilian/FAA equivalent training
desired. The incumbent shall be able to perform complex tasks with
minimal to no oversight. Receiving technical guidance, as
necessary, from supervisor, higher-level technician or engineer.
The incumbent must be able to perform troubleshooting of fuel
system to include but not limited to electrical, fuel flow rates,
and mechanical failures. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of
turbine power-plant operations and troubleshooting, aircraft
generator troubleshooting to include electrical and mechanical
failures. The incumbent must be able to service and repair
hydraulic systems such as brake system hydraulic servos, and drive
system components such as engine, transmission and gear boxes. The
incumbent must be able to conduct flight control rigging, MOC’s
(maintenance operational checks) and troubleshooting to include but
not limited to electrical, hydraulic and mechanical failures. The
incumbent must be able to assist Quality in performing aircraft
weight and balance and preparing aircraft for flight. Additional
duties include but are not limited to removal and
re-installation/assembly of aircraft interior and exterior panels,
cabin floors, cabin and cockpit doors. This role may require

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
