Insurance Business Manager

Job Description:

The Insurance Business Manager will assist the President in the daily administrative and operational functions of the companies, and strategic oversight of enterprise wide business operations. This position will report directly to and work at the direction of the President and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the day-to-day activities of the company to ensure business efficiency and continuity. Previous insurance industry experience and accounting skills are required. Responsibilities: --- - - - - -Collaborate with the President and staff to ensure consistency and alignment. --- - - - - -Monitor and maintain all accounting functions for all companies, including ensuring collections are current --- - - - - -Prepare financial statements for the President on a timely basis --- - - - - -Coordinate operational support functions to maximize organizational efficiency. --- - - - - -Provide oversight of the day-to-day activities on behalf of the President. --- - - - - -Help prepare and work on presentations and marketing materials. --- - - - - -Prepare, maintain, review and provide feedback on reports as required by the President. --- - - - - -Maintain and implement industry leading best practices. --- - - - - -Collaborate to move the organization toward continuous process improvement. Qualifications: --- - - - - -Bachelor degree (graduate degree preferred) in accounting, business administration or finance. --- - - - - -Experience in the P&C insurance industry. --- - - - - -Previous Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care insurance experience an asset, but not necessary --- - - - - -Outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise. --- - - - - -Experience of managing accounting successfully. --- - - - - -Outstanding verbal and written skills --- - - - - -Excellent excel, power point and word skills --- - - - - -Ability to multi-task is essential function --- - - - - -Flexibility and willingness to work hours required to get tasks done on a timely basis is essential.
