BASIC FUNCTION : --The Assistant Vice President Business Systems and Processes is primarily responsible for the support and improvement of credit delivery systems. The Assistant Vice President Business Systems and Processes is also responsible for leading the team that is responsible to:

  • Define or facilitate the definition of core lending processes
  • Document business processes and Manual change management leadership
  • Enable lending processes through the business ownership of lending process technology systems such as, Application Processing, , Collateral Management, Customer Information and future business process technology additions.
  • Enable lending processes through comprehensive document management strategy MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES : (in order of importance) Assistant Vice Presidents LEAD others and may lead leaders by:
    • Being accountable for the performance and results of an organizational function
    • Forming policy in area of responsibility
    • Defining team operating standards and monitoring adherence to essential procedures
    • Leading and coaching others, setting team's direction and deploying resources
    • Exercising management authority in performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, and other employment decisions
    • Achieving results by leading others on their team, as well as influencing and negotiating with team members in other areas of the organization
    • Maintaining technical expertise, business and industry knowledge and process development capabilities
    • Modeling organizational values, inspiring a shared vision and holding their teams accountable for culture preservation and growth This position also leads by:
      • Assisting in the design and implementation of new initiatives, processes, and products in the areas of credit and technology support, to provide consistent interpretation, application and modification as appropriate. Create or co-create new products or initiatives that are supported by the lending processes.
      • Working effectively with leaders and functional teams to achieve credit process and retail operational excellence by leading the credit and lending process support functions. Serves as a liaison with system users to trouble shoot and answer questions regarding systems and credit policies and processes.
      • Working with members of the Organizational Development team to coordinate, develop, and provide training on business processes & business process technology applications.
      • Developing and maintaining associations' credit policies, procedures, and forms. Strike procedural balance between effective processes, and safe and sound lending practices, including appropriate internal controls. In the role of Assistant Vice President Business System and Processes, lead the growth and relevance of the association's Lending Process Technology Systems by:
        • Owning or leading owners of Association-wide lending process technology systems such as--Application Processing, , Collateral Management, Customer Information and future business process technology additions.
        • Developing comprehensive document management strategy which aligns with business needs and technologies
        • Working with members of the Business Technology team, external vendors, etc. to determine business needs and evaluate performance of new and revised systems against identified business needs.
        • Building new systems or future enhancements without impacting functionality of existing systems and their work flow processes.
        • Work with business units to develop technology solutions that meet business needs and objectives. Assistant Vice Presidents ADAPT by:
          • Adjusting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges with focus on the next two to four years' priorities
          • Making decisions based on policies, procedures, business plan, resource availability and functional objectives
          • Identifying opportunities for application of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems
          • Applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent Assistant Vice Presidents CONNECT by:
            • Coordinating with cross-functional leaders to make recommendations or solve problems
            • Providing technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and GRADING GUIDELINES Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, accounting, or related field; 5 or more years industry experience, preference to loan origination process and/or records information management, loan accounting or banking; 3 or more years in a leadership role or having demonstrated leadership capabilities or successful evaluation at Director Level.
