Competitive pay, great bonus potential and PTO benefits are just a few of the many great perks to joining our team. BASIC PURPOSE: Plan, solicit, book and coordinate small group meetings and room sales to meet/exceed revenue/profit goals.
ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE: Position is responsible for negotiating room and catering rates and controls for small groups of 10 to 100 people and/or 10-75 rooms or less.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts (telemarketing, mailings, referrals, etc...) to maximize room and catering revenues to meet/exceed goals.




    • Plan, upsell and detail the meeting/function with the client including; space requirements, times, equipment, menus, billing instructions, etc... Complete the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel, resolve any issues, complaints, and/or problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.




      • Develop a marketing strategy by analyzing hotel/market trends to capture the maximum amount of revenue and meet/exceed sales goals.




        • Maintain accurate, legible records and files to provide group history, ensure future and current quality service and enhance future prospects.




          • Communicate the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings. Work with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts.




            • Coordination of group rooming lists and reservation input.
              NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

              • Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote sales.




                • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and participate in task forces and committees.

                  Knowledge and Skills:
                  Education: More than two years of post-high school education.
                  Experience: Hotel and Delphi experience preferred. Experience required by position is two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
                  Skills and Abilities: Requires a thorough knowledge of sales/hotel policies and procedures and the ability to
                  determine course of action based on these guidelines. Ability to investigate and analyze
                  current activities or information in the sales field and make logical conclusions and
                  recommendations. Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate,
                  sell, and influence professionals and hotel guests.
