REPORTS TO: - - Senior Director of VOA Justice -
OVERVIEW:
The Director is responsible for the development and management of
the new initiatives and projects of VOA Justice involving local and
statewide initiatives. - This includes the inclusion of contractual
and accreditation compliance standards, assessing and ensuring
fidelity to the evidence-based models, financial management,
program marketing, reviewing, developing and overseeing evaluation
processes, reviewing and developing program policies and
supervising staff as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology,
Sociology, Human Services, or related field. - The position
requires proficiency in the following areas: program development
and management, marketing and public relations, budget development
and financial management, organizational management, administrative
supervision, staff training, and written and oral communications. -
Also requires excellent interpersonal skills, a demonstrated
ability in producing written reports/business correspondence to
support fundraising, legislative and communication skills, and
effective and oral communication skills and public speaking
presentations to groups. -
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide strong leadership in the oversight of the new
initiatives, programs and assigned projects.
2. Develops and oversees project management plans for new and
expansion sites -
3. Incorporate accreditation standards and contractual requirements
in new initiative and programs with implementation. - -
4. Reviews current program and develops new initiatives and
programs' policies and procedures manual.
5. Reviews and develops evaluation processes for all new and
current program services.
6. - Reviews and develops training plan for all current program
staff or staff associated with new initiatives.
7. - -Serves as a liaison with community partners and funders, as
appropriate. -
8. - Works with designated staff to address facility needs of other
logistics associated with new sites. -
9. - Reviews and develops recommendations for VOA Justice's annual
strategic plans for all projects and new initiatives. - -
10. Assists in the development of annual financial budget(s) for
current projects and new initiatives.
11. Represents programs and agency on appropriate local, state and
or national committees.
12. Provides crisis management and assists in emergency
consultation as needed.
13. Assists in overseeing program operations of all VOA Justice
Programs in absence of the Senior Director.
14. Assists with Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as
assigned by Senior Director.
