SCHEDULE: Full Time COMPENSATION: $78,522.00 to $150,980.00 base
salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is
determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and
location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside
of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership
in a protected class. About Our OpportunityOur Director of Food and
Agribusiness Operations is responsible for leading a team of
individuals who perform corporate, commercial, and capital markets
lending operations. The Director Food and Agribusiness Operations
provides leadership, management, and specialized technical
expertise to team members and business associates. How You Will
Spend Your Time
- Defining team operating standards and monitoring adherence to
essential procedures.
- Leading and coaching team members in an in-person and remote
work environment, setting team direction, evaluating performance,
reviewing pay, and recommending employment decisions.
- Achieving results through leadership of team members.
- Establishing a positive work environment that promotes
continuous learning, development, and recruitment of highly
effective employees.
- Being accountable for performance and results in business,
functional, or operational areas.
- Developing processes and programs that promote an understanding
of and positively contribute to the customer experience.
- Modeling organizational values, inspiring a shared vision and
holding teams accountable for culture preservation and growth.
- Granting and overseeing delegated authorities of team
members.
- Participating and/or leading project teams to meet project
deliverables and timelines.
- Adjusting departmental plans and priorities to address resource
and operational challenges with focus on the next one to two years'
priorities.
- Making decisions within their area of responsibility based on
policies, procedures and business plan.
- Using resource availability and functional objectives to
achieve departmental goals.
- Partnering with their leader on disciplinary or salary
actions.
- Applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems
without clear precedent. Minimum Education & ExperienceHigh School
Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's Degree in finance, agriculture,
business, leadership, or related field, or equivalent experience in
Farm Credit System. Five years of experience in sales or service
environment focused on customer support and services. In the
absence of a Bachelor's Degree, Farm Credit Mid-America, or Farm
Credit System experience is required. Mental & Physical
Requirements
- Engage in telephone and face-to-face conversation to serve
customers and give and receive information from customers, staff,
vendors, outside consultants and the public.
- Use a computer and similar office technology and tools.
- This involves reading the screen and keying/typing
information.
- Speak and make presentations to individuals or groups on
technical subjects related to job.
- Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out
essential responsibilities of the job.
- Successfully interact with and represent the organization to
customers, staff, officers, board members, vendors, and/or the
public at all levels.
- Provide sound technical advice to customers and other staff in
the subject field(s) related to this position.
- Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting
concepts, programs, terminology, and methods.
- Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide, and
critique such information as written material, numerical data,
responses to customer needs, and/or other related work
activities.
