Highly conversant with the affordances of digital course modalities, they guide faculty in effectively leveraging technology to enhance student engagement and learning. The Director of Teaching Programs serves as a role model for strategic teaching effectiveness across modalities, helping to foster a data-driven culture that positions teaching effectiveness as a tool to improve student outcomes and graduation rates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Eight (8) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Education and/or experience equivalent to 10 years that includes roles in faculty professional development, instructional design, and/or teaching in higher education
      • Documented experience supervising others in a higher education setting
      • Evidence of significant engagement with the broad higher education community of educational development and/or online/digital teaching and learning
      • Documented experience teaching in multiple course modalities, including face-to-face, blended, and online courses
      • Consistent record of collaborating effectively toward achievement of common goals beyond traditional positional authority structures
      • Demonstrated ability to inspire others toward excellence in digital course design and teaching
