Job Description:
Psychology Technician, Fort Knox, KY Job Summary: Provide
non-clinical internal clinical behavioral health, leader support
and training to commanders and Soldiers with the ultimate goal of
performance enhancement and improved resiliency within the United
States Army Recruiting Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Primary
Duties:
- Implement and recommend unit behavioral health initiatives that
culminate in proactive measures creating a positive and safe
environment for Soldiers and their Families and reduce factors
negatively impacting organizational culture.
- Conduct a variety of activities to include, but are not limited
to, training, coaching, creating surveys, conducting, and analyzing
research, developing educational material, reviewing Serious
Incident Reports; identifying trends that may impede organizational
or individual effectiveness; submitting reports, and
develop/implement strategies to improve unit success.
- Shall function as part of assessment and evaluation team,
conduct interviews, review medical records, conduct interviews, for
each incoming student for past or current treatment and conditions
with potential adverse impact of ability to perform recruiting
duties. Consult with the Psychologist to determine Soldier
disposition.
- Support implementation of the Integrated Leader Development
Program
- Identify factors that negatively affect desired organizational
culture
- Advise and train leaders to identify signs of stress and
subsequent appropriate leader actions
- Implement evidence-based/evidence informed, approved coaching
and training
- Safeguard information and client confidentiality
- Work a standard 40-hour work week noting that Techs may provide
crisis intervention and unit training which may require work
outside of the 8 AM - 5 PM workday (with a one-hour unpaid lunch
period).
- Travel occasionally to provide Field Sustainment Training.
Approved travel costs will be reimbursed. Competencies:

training

Education, Experience, Skills:
- Shall hold at a minimum a bachelor's degree with experience in
the behavioral health field. A master's degree is preferred, in
clinical or counseling psychology; industrial and organizational
psychology; sports psychology; or clinical social work. Other
acceptable fields of experience include education school
psychology, counseling or sociology.
- Experience with statistics and the use of statistical packages
such as the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) for
data analysis is highly recommended but not required.
- Prefer experience working with military service members.
- Shall be computer literate and have the ability to operate
Microsoft Office Suite programs and learn to use USAREC-specific
programs such as the Leaders' Edge Program and administration
/coaching, SharePoint, and findings of The Attentional and
Interpersonal Style (TAIS) instrument or other executive coaching
tool that may be utilized by the Command.

supervisory responsibilities. Additional Qualifying Factors As a
condition of employment, you will be required to pass a
pre-employment drug screening, a health screening to include TB
testing, obtain and maintain a Healthcare Provider Basic Life
Support Certification approved by the American Heart Associations,
be successfully credentialed by the base Medical Treatment
Facility, have acceptable references, obtain a favorable
adjudicated National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) or an
equivalent or higher investigation in accordance with Army
Directive 2014-05, and obtain a Common Access card which allows
access to the military base and protected data. You must have
reliable transportation to/from work and the ability to travel to
other bases as requested to perform your contracted duties. The
