Physical Requirements Extended periods of standing and/or sitting.
Traveling long distances via car.
Shift Days; Monday - Friday. Some evenings and weekends as
required. (Exempt/Hourly position. 40 hours/week)
Job Summary The Institute for Biomedical Informatics ( IBI ) has
contracted with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services,
Department for Medicaid Services ( DMS ) to provide DMS with a team
of licensed Registered Nurses that will assist them by providing
professional expertise, technical assistance and guidance in the
performance of comprehensive assessments the using the Home and
Community Based ( HCB ) waiver assessment tool for the frail and
elderly population and physically disabled.This position will
identify, develop and present information educating professional
staff, families and individuals seeking HCB Services. This position
will review data collected from the State's HCB Assessment Tool and
make sound independent determinations as to the level of care and
service needs of the frail and elderly population and physically
disabled individuals across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. These
assessments must substantiate and justify the services provided by
the Home and Community Based Services ( HCB ) Waiver.The Nurse
Researcher Assessor will visit client sites around Louisville in
Jefferson County but travel outside the county may be required on
an as-needed basis. Most of the travel is during the day; however,
overnight stays may be required for occasional out-of-state
travel.The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge of physical and
psychological development. Excellent analytical and decision making
skills. Ability to communicate effectively and interact with
physically disabled and elderly individuals. Ability to travel
throughout the state on a regular basis with the ability to travel
out-of-state for overnight trips upon occasion.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Prefer experience working with the
elderly and physically disabled. Driver's license is highly
desired.
