The Mammography Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. The Mammography Technologist maintains knowledge and awareness of radiation protections and safety during all radiographic examinations. The Mammography Technologist prepare for and assist the radiologist with intricate radiographic examinations. The Mammography Technologist will prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as well as state and federal regulations.Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required):REGISTERED WITH ARRT, KY RADIATION OPERATORS CERTIFICATION, BLS, REQUIRES MAMMO REGISTRY WITHIN 1 YEAR OF EMPLOYMENTExperience (preferred): PREFER 1 YEAR RECENT EXPERIENCE AS A GENERAL RADIOGRAPHER
