Our service allows our team members to focus on one patient at a time providing care where the patient calls home. While this often is a house or apartment, we also provide care at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. • Free Continuing Education CreditsAbout The RoleThe Certified Nursing Assistant is a para-professional member of the hospice team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs, to promote the patient's comfort, and a safe environment. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for observing patients and reporting/documenting these observations and the services provided.Requirements
  • Is at least eighteen years of age and is a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Is currently a State Registered Nurse Aide through the State Board of Nursing.
  • One year experience in hospital or nursing home setting, preferred.
  • Proof of completion of recognized CNA training program.
  • Has ability to read and follow written instructions and document given care.
  • Satisfactory references from previous employers.
  • Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Has empathy for the needs of the ill, frail, and impaired. Understands philosophy of hospice care and needs of the terminally ill.
  • Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
  • This position does not require the team member maintain a valid driver's license or to drive a motor vehicle as a part of their regular assigned duties. However, if the team member does elect to drive a motor vehicle while in the performance of their job duties, they must maintain a valid driver's license in the state in which they reside, and they must comply with state insurance laws governing liability, property damage, and bodily injury.
  • Employees will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.Salary Description$17.76-$21.90 per hour
