The Registered Nurse (RN) applies principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is delivered within the framework of The Christ Hospital’s model of care, which emphasizes an ongoing partnership between patients, families, and healthcare providers. Care is culturally sensitive and age-specific. The RN adheres to the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and operates within the scope of practice defined by the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Unit Description: Cardiac Catheterization Lab - The Cardiac Cath Lab is a fast-paced environment that employs the latest technology to treat adult cardiovascular disease. - The unit is involved in a variety of research trials, including pre-market releases of new technologies. - In addition to coronary artery disease and percutaneous interventions, specialized programs include: - CLI (Chronic Limb Ischemia):Focused on limb preservation in vascular disease. - CTO (Chronic Total Occlusions):Enhancing quality of life for patients with angina. - A comprehensiveStructural Heart Programaddresses valve and internal heart structure conditions, led by expert physicians using the most current techniques and technology. - Nurses function collaboratively with this team in roles including circulator, scrub nurse, and monitoring nurse. - Continuous learning opportunities are available as technologies evolve, within a collaborative team of Radiologic Technologists and Cardiologists.
