Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Overview The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. The OR RN functions as a key member of the perioperative team, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities - Circulate or scrub in for surgical procedures across multiple specialties. - Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring adherence to aseptic technique and surgical protocols. - Verify patient identity, procedure, and surgical site during time-out and safety checks. - Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment. - Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to changes promptly. - Accurately document nursing care, interventions, and outcomes. - Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications - Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. - BLS and ACLS required; CNOR certification preferred. - Minimum two (2) years of recent Operating Room nursing experience required. - ADN required; BSN preferred. - Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills essential.
