Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Louisville, KY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,141 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years of inpatient RN experience License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Two (2) years of acute care RN experience - Epic experience Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective, patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes his/her own development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: - Performs assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition. - Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. - Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care and reviews and revises it as indicated. - Collaborates with patient/family and interdisciplinary services. - Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family. - Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions. - Facilitates, coordinates, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs. - Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. - Functions as a mentor/preceptor. - Demonstrates and encourages teamwork. - Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. - Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes. - Complies with regulatory standards.
