travelers within 100 miles are not accepted Description: Two years
of experience are required. Experience with heart and lung
transplants is mandatory. Level 2 experience is required, while
Level 1 experience is preferred. Candidates must have experience
with trauma cases. BLS certification is necessary. A Skills
checklist must be submitted for consideration. Local travelers
within a 100-mile radius are not accepted. Compliance requirements
include BLS certification and a Surgical Technologist/Technician
competency exam. CST certification from the National Board of
Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is preferred. Candidates
are required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate
hospitals as needed. Candidates must have limited experience with
heart and lung transplants screened. This position requires trauma
level experience, and most units require level 1 trauma experience.
Patients may include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults,
pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census for the unit ranges
from 75 to 100 patients. Candidates must be aware if they have
previously worked at this facility. If eligibility check for rehire
comes back as ineligible, the traveler may be canceled.
