GastroenterologistLocation: Lexington, KYJob Type: Locum TenensOverview:A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient coverage, including call, consults, and procedures. This role focuses on managing a broad range of GI cases with strong APP support in a collaborative environment.Orientation $230/hrOn Call (Daily) $4000 - Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis"Call Back $500/hr after gratisAssignment Details:Start: ASAPOngoing until permanent provider is hiredSchedule:24-hour call coverageIncludes inpatient rounding, procedures, and ED consultsApproximately 68 hours onsite per daySpecific Dates:May 26 June 1, 2026 (general GI may be considered for these dates)Practice Details:Setting: Inpatient / HospitalEMR: EpicDedicated GI APP support (3 inpatient APPs assisting with endoscopy, floor, and ED coverage)Patient Volume:1020 patients per dayApproximately 10 admissions per nightResponsibilities:Inpatient rounding and patient managementPerform GI proceduresRespond to ED and inpatient consultsProvide call coverageProcedures:ERCP RequiredGeneral endoscopyBread and butter GI proceduresRequirements:Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology RequiredActive Kentucky License or IMLC PreferredDEA RequiredACLS RequiredERCP proficiency RequiredClean malpractice history PreferredNPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) RequiredAvailability confirmed at time of submission RequiredCredentialing:Expedited credentialing available for qualified candidatesAbout WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparency
