That means we're continually seeking diligent, determined performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles. What you'll be able to do: * Review, audit and update PM activities for paint automation equipment * Handle costs for indirect materials and robot covers by supervising usage and developing alternative or new solutions * Ensure quality inspections are being performed and that quality issues are addressed quickly * Develop and implement prove-out processes so that booths achieve flawless startups * Drive team to identify and break bottleneck issues using FIS data * Direct, train and validate skilled trades repairs of automation equipment * Identify and resolve safety issues and potential safety issues * Supervise operation of automation equipment to meet environmental requirements * Ability to direct teams to take the right actions to resolve issues * Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements * Meet Paint appearance specifications and be an active participant of the paint appearance VRT team * Improve MTTR and MTBF by using MOS tools for quick change over, BBQ and PM completion * Develop and execute solid weekend and downtime work plans for automation equipment * Lead Paint Application VRT. Support Dirt VRT and Paint Appearance VRT. * Identify requirements, develop training plans and track skill level for automation tenders and skilled trades. * Develop and maintain versatility requirements * Build a proactive performance driven culture that listens, reacts, supports and teaches. * Standardize procedures across the automation crews * Establish a common future vision for the spray booths and their operation for the automaton teams to achieve together. * Six Sigma problem solving skills to support continuous improvement mentality * Disseminate policy deployment, drive SQDCPME, and communicate departmental goals The minimum requirements we seek: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering * 2+ years in maintenance and/or engineering * 5+ years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment * 2+ years of experience with Microsoft includes Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Our preferred requirements * Must have leadership skills to lead, empower, and develop Salary and UAW Hourly employees * Demonstrated communication skills (verbal & written) and able to summarize sophisticated issues * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using 4D, FMEAs and DMAICs * Production, Maintenance and Automation experience with Fanuc robots * Solid understanding of PLC logic, Control Logix, Paint Pro * Electrical background or related experience * Familiarity with automation equipment and control What you'll receive in return: As part of the Ford family, you'll enjoy excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous PTO, retirement, savings and stock investment plans, incentive compensation and much more.
