Provides leadership and resolution to daily production floor quality issues. Manages the Quality Floor team as well as related improvement projects and processes. Position COE Quality Floor Leader (Off Shift) Location USA, Louisville, KY How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Lead and direct 2nd and 3rd shift Quality Floor team. Establish and monitor goals & metrics for each team. Expand capabilities of hourly Quality Inspectors (Quality Analysts/Auditors) to include problem solving in addition to their current responsibilities.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Control Plans (MCPs) are followed, review MCPs for discrepancies and facilitate resolution with Manufacturing Quality Engineers.
  • Provide first response to highest level quality issues. Ensure containment actions implemented and followed.
  • Facilitate, track and ensure closure of all CARs/CAPAs.
  • Manage implementation of new Quality System Procedures within the plant as it applies to the Quality Floor Team.
  • Communicate quality issues, containment, and root cause/corrective action plans for critical defects raised during daily production and escalation meetings.
  • Review data collection results for trends and issues. Coordinate quality, manufacturing, supplier quality & technology resources to drive solutions.
  • Train and coach Shop Operations, Quality team and Process Engineers to quality acceptance standards as needed. -
  • Coordinate training for team. Understand contract rules. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline and/or 5 years equivalent experience in floor quality in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with product and process Quality Management System development and implementation
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Ability to analyze quality data
    • Strong cross functional communication
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with customers and operationsPreferred Qualifications:
      • Quality Leadership experience
      • Lean Manufacturing experience
      • Experience in injection molding, appliances or similar high-volume manufacturing processes
      • Familiar with union contract and leadership of union members
      • Familiar with gauging and other measurement tools
      • Ability to interpret part prints and specifications
      • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership influencing skills.Working Conditions:
        • Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
        • Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
        • Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, safety boots, and hardhats.
        • These roles will require frequent walking in a manufacturing plant environment.
