Join the dedicated team at Sysco as a CDL-A Linehaul Driver, where you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of food products to our network of customers across a designated region. This position demands a highly skilled and disciplined driver capable of managing long haul trips efficiently while upholding the highest safety and compliance standards. Safely operate a tractor-trailer over assigned long-haul routes to meet delivery schedules. Inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules as per dispatch instructions. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and ensure each load is secure. Collect and verify delivery instructions, handling documentation like bills of lading and logs. Report defects, accidents, or violations and maintain a clean driving record. Proven work experience as a long-haul truck driver Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A A clean driving record Relevant training and/or certifications in safety management and long-haul driving
