Human Resources Generalist HR GENERALIST ORGANIZATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supports all functions that attain and maintain accreditation and compliance with regulatory agenciesSupports and facilitates positive interaction with others as evidenced by: professional maturity, respect for others, a team-centered approach, and maintain confidential informationHR GENERALIST RECRUITMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive requests for recruitment servicesEngage with the community to increase awareness of the NHS brand and career opportunitiesParticipate in community events to recruit candidates for NHSSeek out job fairs and local colleges to partner with to promote NHS and our career opportunitiesScreen and verify candidate credentials based on the required checks per individual program standardsRecommend potential employee based on the screening processInterview prospective candidates and consult with manager regarding the selection processAdvise the VP/DHR on issues that could create problems in selectionRecommend top-rated candidates for employmentServe as a resource for a variety of employment related issuesAcquires all required new employee paperwork before inputting new hires into HRIS systemScans all required new employee paperwork into Intact personnel fileMaintain employee I-9 formsManage the Employee Referral ProgramPartner with the HR team for HR activities such as Open Enrollment, Annual Employee Appreciation Event, Manager Retreat, Quarterly Manager Training, and/or other miscellaneous itemsHR GENERALIST ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Maintain confidentiality regarding all employee contact, personnel, and financial matters of the corporationConsistently exercise discretion and judgment to analyze, interpret, and assist employees with decisionsWork without daily and immediate supervision, evaluating possible courses of conduct, and making decisions where there is no opportunity to seek supervisor assistanceMaintain employee database: this includes entering all essential employee information as well as updating the database when any changes are needed; filing updated on a weekly basisParticipates in developing and implementation of various human resource plans and procedures Provides policy and procedure interpretation for all employees. Convey a positive attitude and professional image to internal and external customers. Uphold high ethical standards toward human resource responsibilitiesMaintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employmentAssist in the development of job descriptions, classifying pay grades and determining exempt/non-exempt statusAssists with the preparation of various human resource trainings, as necessaryAssist at front desk during lunch/vacation rotations as needed HR GENERALIST QUALIFICATIONS:Must have computer skills and the ability to learn HRIS system (ABRA)Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong verbal/written skills. Presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills are essentialMust possess a valid state driver's license, proof of insurance coverage per company policy, and have a vehicle that is reliableHR GENERALIST JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related field required3-5 years of Human Resource experience required.
