Job Details Description Summary: The TwinSpires Director of
Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing HR
strategies that align with the company’s business plan, while
overseeing day-to-day HR operations for the business unit. This
role partners with the companys senior leadership team to ensure
excellence in recruitment, talent management, employee relations,
performance management, training, benefits administration, policy
compliance, and other HR functions. Essential Responsibilities:
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and
workplace culture, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment on HR
policies, processes, and organizational objectives Develop and
implement strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and career
development Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring efficient hiring
processes and a strong candidate experience. Manage employee
relations, including conducting investigations and advising
leadership on disciplinary actions Administer company compensation
programs and lead the annual performance evaluation process Conduct
New Hire Orientations and Exit Interviews Facilitate training
sessions on HR policies, compliance, and leadership development to
build team capabilities. Maintain HRIS data and analyze HR metrics
and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement
solutions Lead communication and recognition programs to improve
employee satisfaction and engagement Continuously evaluate and
improve HR policies, procedures, and departmental efficiency
Additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred. 8–10 years of progressive HR
experience, covering employment, recruitment, benefits,
compensation, employee relations, training, and workers
compensation. Professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role overseeing HR function,
ideally in the software, tech industry, or racing industry.
Demonstrated experience in strategic workforce planning and
organizational development. Expertise in employee relations,
conflict resolution, coaching, and conducting HR investigations.
Proficient in designing and implementing training and development
programs for various leadership levels. Strong knowledge of
multi-state HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability
to engage effectively at all organizational levels, including
executive leadership. Possess the ability to uphold and demonstrate
the highest level of integrity in all situations Authorized to work
in the US on a full-time basis. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Licenses/Certificates: Ability to be licensed as an Employee by
various racing and gaming jurisdictions in which we operate, as
