member of the Total Rewards team, support the organization's
compensation programs & activities so that they meet the
organization's objectives regarding internal equity & external
market competitiveness. Liaise with functional or operational area
managers to develop & implement local compensation
strategies/processes that are appropriate for their business needs
& consistent with the global total rewards strategy. Provides
guidance to HR partners on total rewards policy & processes. As
part of the global rewards team, assist in implementation, &
localization of rewards initiatives, including process,
communications, & technology. This role operates independently,
with minimal supervision and applies subject matter knowledge to
solve common business issues. Relationships Reports to the Manager,
North America Rewards. Frequent interaction with global and local
HRBPs, GPOS, Talent Acquisition, Global Rewards and Mobility, GBS
teams, line of business, Ask HR, external vendors and consultants.
Essential Functions Evaluates jobs for levelling in the global &
local pay structure through review of new/revised job descriptions,
collecting & analyzing external market data, & reviewing similar
positions internally to ensure internal equity Provides advice &
counsel to HRBPs & management on compensation; provides counsel &
direction per governance relative to promotion increases, internal
transfers & new hire offers Provides guidance to specific
functional areas; analyzing market trends, completing statistical
studies, and developing recommendations and action plans designed
to attract, retain, and reward employees Consults with broader
North America Total Rewards team, local P&O directors & HRBPs
on a variety of compensation/rewards topics Participate as an
extended team member on expansions and department restructures
Ensure adherence to company policy in fair & equitable pay
positioning, fairness, transparency & consistency Conducts &/or
participates in compensation related projects as assigned Provides
input &/or prepares compensation/rewards communications Ensures
timely & accurate reporting to annual national & local benchmarking
activities through guidance & sharing of relevant information with
compensation team in GBS Recommends improvements to
rewards/compensation processes Supports relevant TRM annual
processes for LoB client groups Responsible for AskHR articles in
area of compensation & rewards Conduct training in relevant areas
of expertise Other accountabilities, as assigned Physical
Requirements Ability to work in an open office environment with the
possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 25% of
the time. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent
combination of education & industry experience required. Advanced
degree and/or CCP/GRP may be substituted for two years of relevant
experience when appropriate Minimum four (4) years of progressively
responsible experience within Human Resources, preferably within
Total Rewards functions required Thorough knowledge of compensation
philosophies & practices required Ability to work
cross-collaboratively in a team environment required Compensation
system experience preferred (i.e., Success Factors, Market Pay, SAP
HR) Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint,
and Outlook required Ability to identify new approaches &
procedures for continuous improvement required Thorough knowledge
of laws affecting compensation programs required Proven expertise
in organizing information & resources for successful reporting &
