homeWe are growing the Connectivity group within Advanced
Technology and are looking for experienced software development
engineers with proven track records contributing to project
development. The Connectivity team has responsibility for informing
the larger Sonos organization on connectivity trends and new
developments within the industry.What You Will Do:
- Be part of the team that identifies new connectivity
opportunities that could apply to current and future Sonos
products, with focus on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
- Create prototype and demonstration platforms utilizing software
and hardware development kits from semiconductor partners to
showcase and evaluate new features of connectivity
- Perform specific connectivity research projects by:
- Utilizing the demonstration platforms or single board computers
such as Raspberry Pis.
- Developing custom applications to accomplish the research.
- Presenting results to key groups within the company and
integrating the solutions into future products.Required Experience:
- At least 2 to 4 years of direct experience in
wireless/networking application development in C/C++ programming
language. Knowledge of Python desired.
- Knowledge of Linux usage in an embedded environment and/or
other embedded operating systems such as Free RTOS and Zephyr.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols such as WiFi,
Bluetooth, UWB or Matter, etc. Specific knowledge of the Bluetooth
classic and LE Audio is a plus.
- Experience in using various debugging techniques including JTAG
debuggers, logic/protocol analyzers, sniffers, and
- General embedded software development and debugging skills.
In-depth understanding of modern embedded SW development processes
including design, implementation, unit testing, continuous
integration, version control with Git, etc.
- Ability to independently create the proper software development
environments to implement, build, test, store, and document
- Experience with audio applications and usage of audio tools
such as Audacity and Reaper is a plus.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or
Electrical Engineering.#LI-REMOTEWe consider a wide range of

This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an
opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time
employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may
be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The
starting minimum base pay for this role is:$134,000We offer a
comprehensive package of benefits including open time off,
medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits subject
to eligibility requirements.Note: No amount of pay is considered to
be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and
