Townsend Tree Service is an operating unit of The Townsend
Corporation providing tree-trimming, clearance and integrated
vegetation management services for power and communication lines,
pipelines and roadways.
We possess extensive equipment capabilities and resources, with
one of the largest fleets of All Terrain Aerial Buckets (ATAB),
Right-of-Way (ROW) brush mowers, spray application equipment and
other specialty tools.
With the use of modern IVM techniques and advanced herbicides
that target invasive species, Townsend provides the best in habitat
management. With our research partners, Townsend helps redefine
right of way stewardship, producing benefits like improved motorist

A CDL Driver is responsible for the operations of a
low-boy, flatbed or other size of truck to deliver heavy equipment
and materials to various job sites. This position is responsible
for the safe transport of all equipment/materials,
loading/unloading and securing equipment to trailers.
Drives truck with low-boy trailer, hauling equipment to and from
garage or storage to work sites
Positions chains, straps and binders to secure loads during
Loads and unloads equipment on low-boy trailers
Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative
maintenance on equipment
Maintains logs and records in compliance with DOT
Maintains and checks truck, trailer and supplies to assure road
Performs minor emergency roadside repairs as needed
Works various shifts based on the needs of the job
Follows appropriate standard operating procedures as guidelines
for operating and maintaining equipment
Understands and follows directions regarding job needs
Follows all safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
Valid Class A CDL and satisfactory driving record required
Demonstrate safe and proper use of assigned equipment
Must be able to meet all physical requirements of position
Pass all drug and/or alcohol screens as required by Company
policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
Be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Previous experience in construction or similar environment
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a truck driver for
