Baptist Health Louisville is looking for energetic & qualified
candidates to join our team in the Respiratory Therapy department
with full time opportunities available on 1st & 3rd shifts.
Employment Bonuses are available & full relocation for qualified
candidates. The Respiratory Care Department at Baptist Health
Louisville is a clinical department comprised of 58 employees.
Approximately 63 of these employees are bedside practitioners.
Therapists work 12 hour shifts, with 9 - 10 scheduled per shift.
Hours of operation cover 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
Professional opportunities for growth and development are readily
available at Baptist Louisville. The department provides care to
all age populations including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult
and geriatric patients. Therapists work very closely with the
pulmonary physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide
quality care to persons experiencing breathing difficulty.
Progressive practices are in place, including prone ventilation,
extensive use of non-invasive ventilation and pressure control
ventilation. Opportunities to work in the critical care units, open
heart recovery unit, post-anesthesia care unit, and emergency
department are available. Additionally, the department offers
state-of-the-art pulmonary function studies using body
plethysmography and performs specimen collection and analysis of
blood gases, meeting the regulatory requirements to operate the
Blood Gas Laboratory. Minimum Education, Training and Experience
Required: EXPERIENCE: Critical care and emergency care is
preferred. EDUCATION: Requires successful completion of accredited
program for Respiratory Care and passing the national credential
exam issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care. SPECIAL
QUALIFICATIONS: Active Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner
License required. Must maintain active certification in Healthcare
Provider Basic Life Support. Baptist is a leader with providing
