DepartmentSTUDENT AFFAIRS (SE-SSER-IUSEA)Department InformationThe Student Central Offices are available to assist students and parents with questions related to financial aid, paying your bill and registering for classes. In keeping with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, we are encouraging students to contact us at sesc@ius.edu for assistance over other in-person means of contact. Job SummaryThis position's main responsibility is serving as a customer service representative for the Student Central office for student services. Offices included in Student Central are: the Office of the Bursar, the Office of Financial Aid, and the Office of the Registrar.

  • Primary responsibilities are answering detailed questions regarding student accounts, tuition and fees, billing, fee assessment, registration, drop/add, transcripts, financial aid, student deadlines, and related enrollment management departments.
  • This position will also accept and process payments on student accounts, which includes operating a cashier drawer and balancing it daily.
  • This position will provide outreach to students and assist with enrollment management initiatives.
  • Other tasks include, but are not limited to, counting money, shredding, data entry, duplicating, faxing, and communicating in person, by phone, and email. QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
    • High school diploma or GED.Preferred
      • Bachelor's degree (or in progress).SKILLS
        • Knowledge of computers and database/word processing software.
        • Excellent communication skills.
        • Excellent customer service skills.
        • Detail oriented.
        • Ability to work with wide range of people.
        • Ability to handle stress and fast-paced environment.
        • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
        • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
        • Proven orientation toward quality service.Working Conditions / DemandsAbility to lift 10 pounds. Sedentary position, sitting for extended periods of time.
