IRA SPECIALISTThe Glenview Trust Company, a highly respected wealth management and financial services company seeks an experienced IRA Specialist. The successful candidate for the IRA Specialist position will be an individual with a strong understanding of IRA account administration and IRS reporting requirements, rules, and regulations. The individual selected for this position will perform a range of IRA account functions and serves as the primary resource to Financial Planners, Trust Principals and Investment Principals for matters pertaining to IRA accounts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES OF THE POSITION:Review account documentation for new IRA accounts, communicate missing or incomplete information as needed and obtain necessary information to proceed with account opening; maintain beneficiary information. Process IRA cash and security deposits into and movements between accounts for all clients, in a timely manner and according to IRS regulations, and as directed by the clients' investment team. Make distributions from and between client IRA accounts and other distributions as required according to direction and guidelines defined by the IRS to track and record all withholding payments.Ensure tax reporting for the distribution of client assets is in accordance with IRS regulations and requirements; reconcile tax withholding out of balance situations, as needed for state and federal withholding. Monitor regulatory and Company policies regarding IRA administration and reporting, document procedures and processing requirements.Facilitates the Annual Notice of Withholding, Annual SIMPLE Plan Summary Description, RMD notification mailings, as well as all IRS forms.Review accuracy of annual fee calculations for all IRA accounts during initial and annual reviews and provide Operations with any necessary corrections, notifying Trust Principal of same. Establish individual goals which are aligned with the Company's business strategies and objectives. Perform other duties, including special projects, as assigned by executive leadership. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITIONAny combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.4-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.Knowledge of, IRS, reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.5 years minimum of IRA account administration experience in a wealth management division or company preferred.Commitment to excellence, client confidentiality, and high standardsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmAcute attention to detailExperience with FIS Trust Desk / RDMS a plusAbility to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
