What you will experience at GE Appliances: Our production operators are responsible for operating various pieces of equipment in our factories to assemble our products - dishwashers, refrigerators, clothes washers and dryers to name a few. Operators work on assembly lines and handle parts to transfer, operate, or adjust the production equipment all while doing this in a fast-paced team environment and adhering to safety rules, regulations and equipment requirements. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Requirements: Be 18 years of age or olderBe legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictionBe able to understand verbal and written instructions in EnglishPass a background check, drug screening and complete and pass a medical health questionnaireYou must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation, including, but not limited to:Stand for prolonged periods of time, handle various parts for assembly, walk distances, reach at waist level, push/pull, grasp/squeeze/pinch partsHave fine motor dexterity and be able to use air toolsBe able to reach overhead, reach at shoulder, knee and floor levelBend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder or stairs, pivot, twist, extend and rotate your neck, and use vibratory toolsHandle and lift parts and/or equipment of 42 pounds and push/pull equipment of 40 poundsWork on and around heavy machinery in a loud environmentFollow work rules, using judgement, and working quickly and efficiently to meet work deadlines, even under stressful conditionsFunction independently and maintain attention and concentrationBe able to relate predictability in social situations, to coworkers, and to complex and simple job instructions and processes that may be written or verbal Our Culture At GE Appliances, creativity meets passion and conversations lead to exceptional outcomes and experiences.
