Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with
customers/vendors and to be sensitive to their needs.
Communicate with customers, vendors and internally, both verbal &
through email to troubleshoot any questions.
Facilitate meetings between appropriate reps and customers
Provide quotations for electrical components and assemblies
Build a strategy with the sales team and vendors to maximize
department profitability.
Communicate with customers and coworkers about quoting
projects.
Develop Bill of Material using manufactures' software based on
plans and specifications provided by the customer and for the
development of new accounts for the department by working with
departments' vendor partners.
Process information for customers and vendors in a timely
manner.
Maintain excellent relationships with customers, vendors, branches,
and the outside sales team.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Competencies:
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced team environment and have
the desire to understand all aspects of a project from start to
finish.
Highly organized, act as team player, have excellent and very
prompt follow-up and follow-through, polite, positive,
professional, and good communication skills.
Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately
complete assigned tasks.
Work independently & the ability to adapt to flexible schedules if
needed.
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, decision making,
initiative, and problem solving.
Product and application knowledge.
Have an outgoing personality and we can teach you the
product/industry!
Qualifications-Required:
Effective written and verbal communication with customers and
coworkers.
Able to prioritize work in multi-tasking environment.
Able to complete tasks, meet tight deadlines under pressure, and
follow up on commitments.
Strong sales and customer service aptitude.
Able to operate effectively in a team environment, and work with
sales representatives/specialists to meet customer needs.
Ability to always maintain a professional work environment.
PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office
applications, such as Excel.
Qualifications-Preferred:
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years related experience.
Experience reading and comprehending construction documents.
Strong software experience.
Familiar with Bid Manager Quoting Program and/or GE Empower Quoting
Program.
PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office
applications, such as Excel.
