Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Applied Intelligence is currently recruiting for a Draftsman with experience in the Automotive Controls industry preferred. Individual must be able to develop electrical controls drawings from engineering markups and manage inventory . Responsibilities:

• Create controls drawings in AutoCAD from engineering markups
• Develop client safety placards using Excel
• Receive material deliveries and verify accuracy
• Cut tags for electrical devices using an engraving machine
• Schedule annual safety training for all employees
• Manage parking passes for the local Ford plants
• Local pickup and delivery of materials
• Manage engineering (safety glasses, hearing protecting, & hard hats) and office supplies & stock supplies as needed
• Summarize hours worked by engineers and report to safety as required
  
  Skills / Qualifications
  
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have AutoCAD experience
  • 2 years of experience
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
    
    Physical Requirements:
    
    • Able to climb a 2 story ladder
    • Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
    • Be able to cover, on foot, a reasonable distance on a job site
    • Able to lift up to 30 lbs without difficulty
    • Must be able to operate a pallet jack and unload a pallet from a truck.
    • All of the above items to be accomplished while carrying a laptop computer
