Job Description:

Peoplelink Staffing is seeking a Tool and Die Maker for their Louisville client.

Will provide support for all production tooling needs, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to shop-floor calls in a timely manner.

Temp-to-Hire position with benefits at 30 days.

Hours: 1st Shift Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm with Mandatory OT on Friday

Pay: $18.00/hour to start

Roles/Responsibilities:

--- Must work well with others as part of a team and be committed to providing our customers with an excellent experience

--- Read and interpret blueprints. Interpret both verbal and written instructions, and can fabricate a component by determining the required specifications

--- Perform, set up, and operate all types of machine shop tools, considering types of materials and cutting tools, tolerances, coolants, lubricants, and machine tool feeds and speeds

--- Determine specifications for inspection of work performed

--- Use precision measuring and gaging tools to perform required inspections before, during, and after machining

--- Set up and operate all tool room equipment (i.e. grinding, milling, lathe)

--- Troubleshooting of tools, and record keeping of all tool development activity

--- When necessary use CAD software

--- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of clutter and safety hazards

--- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills, and Education Requirements:

--- High School Diploma or GED

--- Previous experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment

--- Journeyman's Tool and Die Maker's card of certification is a plus

--- Equivalent combination of aptitude, education, certification, and or experienced body of knowledge that will meet our requirements.

--- CAD training and experience, preferably with Solid Works or other solid modeling software

--- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

--- Excellent communication skills, team skills, and can interface directly with the customer to resolve issues

--- Excellent visual accuracy, and basic Math skills are required

--- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

--- Must be able to maintain an excellent attendance record

--- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

--- A keen eye for detail
