JOB DESCRIPTIONSpur Design is looking for a full-time Project
Architect to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate is
organized, a motivated self-starter, detail oriented, and
collaborative. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Working in collaboration with the Director of Operations,
Architectural Lead, and Project Manager Lead, the PM will help
support the management of multiple projects from inception through
completion and are primarily responsible for managing client
expectations and ensuring that delivery meets that expectation
- Responsible for ensuring the project team knows and understands
the project vision and extent of the scope of work
- Obtain necessary client approvals
- Obtain necessary client provided drawings
- Coordinate with other Spur Design Project Managers to ensure
that office wide resources are organized
- Daily responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Create and manage budget and schedules
- Coordinate with Architectural Lead design staffing needs and
project updates
- Facilitate the documentation of meetings and work sessions
- Maintain team morale
- Assist with document production as needed
- Actively manage project communications and documentation, and
project administrative tasks
- Project tracking responsibilities include but not limited
to:
- Project schedules and milestones, both critical and internal
utilizing Microsoft Teams
- Project budget, team hours, and expenses
- Facilitate follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices as
necessary
- Identify potential exposure to risks and propose mitigation
methods
- Assist project team with the creation and assemblies of
presentations as needed
- Provide oversight in managing a project BIM execution plan
- Establish and maintain Project Newforma files and consultant
access
- Proactively manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project
and scope through Microsoft Teams, Unanet, and other software.
- Reviews internal and external work-in-progress as well as
deliverables
- Coordinate all aspects of final deliverables to client, whether
digital or hard copy
- Act as primary contact to consultants at an administrative
level and coordinate exchanges related to assigned project
deliverables and schedulingQUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture
- Registered Architect 5+ years
- NCARB preferred
- High proficiency in applicable BIM and CAD software(s).
- Ability to lead and guide the production of construction
documents
- Portfolio of completed projects
- Thorough knowledge of codes and zoning regulations
- Coordination skills with Project Managers, consultants and
schedules
- Extensive knowledge of construction detailing and ability to
prepare a complete set of construction documents
- Leadership and mentorship of staff and internal project
team
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to translate concepts into functional construction
designs
- Advanced project management skills
- Knowledge of construction costs and time framesBENEFITS

- Retirement benefits include matching 401k contributions of
1-for-1 matching up to 3% and 1-for-2 matching up to 5%, with a
maximum match of 4% for a 5% employee contribution. This plan is a
"safe harbor" eligible plan and, subsequently, no vesting period is
required past initial eligibility requirements.Spur Design also
offers reimbursement of training and professional organization dues
or fees with prior approval by ownership.
