You will ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled and performed on all equipment as needed.What you'll do here:Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs making notes and recommendations using an established checklist.Maintain grounds including outside residence repair, lawn maintenance, and garbage removal or coordinates services with outside vendors where appropriate.Maintain or oversee repair of facility equipment; ensure equipment is functioning properly and staff are trained appropriately in its useProvide consistent documentation of compliance to life safety and regulatory requirements as directed per federal, state and/or local regulations (e.g., Fire Drills, Daily Rounds, Evacuation Drills, and other associated documents)Aid or instruct housekeeping to maintain floor covering in the hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots and other community areasPrepare apartments for move-in and completes refurbishing of apartments after move-out, including but not limited to the following: paint, appliance replacement, flooring as appropriate, and any additional upgrades as needed to prepare resident roomsPerform troubleshooting and repairs to plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems throughout the communityHave a knowledge and understanding of the safe operation and use of hand and power tools used throughout the general maintenance industrySchedule maintenance checkups on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, fire alarms, generators, washer and dryer, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipmentMaintain the interior finishes and first impressions of the community, including but not limited to: painting, wall repair, lighting, other finishes, including counters, cabinets, door and windows, other surfaces or finishes as directed by the communityAdditional duties as assigned.We'd love to talk if:You have two to three years of experience in facility maintenance including electrical, plumbing, and carpentryYou meet, have or are eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certificationsYou have written and oral English communication skillsYou care about serving seniorsBonus points if:You have previous experience within a facilities position in a senior living or healthcare environmentYou have a High School Diploma (or equivalent)You have experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's diseasePay Range: $17 - $19.50 / hour, based on experienceWe're also proud to be the first senior living company to earn the WELL Health-Safety Rating across all our communities.You are required to complete any necessary health requirements which may change from time-to-time, such as vaccination.Enlivant is an Equal Opportunity Employer and qualified individuals will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, religion, gender (including gender expression and identity), nationality and origin, disability (mental or physical), sex, marital status, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, or other applicable characteristics.Where required by state law and/or city ordinance; this employer will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
