Title: Desktop Support Technician
Duration of contract: 6-month Contract (possibility for
extension)
Location: Jacksonville, IL 62650 OR Louisville, KY 40211
Schedule: 5 day a week on site, normal work hours
May need to travel (2-3 hour drives), may be up to 25% travel at
max
Interview Process:
1st interview - Teams, 1 hour
2nd interview - Teams
Why: Need on-site, in person support that they don't have
currently
Mission: This person will ensure smooth operations by resolving
technical issues, maintaining network connectivity for
manufacturing environment, and collaborating with the IT team to
minimize on-site disruptions
Day-to-day:
60% trouble shooting. 40% project work
Fixing monitors, connection issues, troubleshooting on the site
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for
manufacturing equipment and devices
Provide technical support and assistance to manufacturing employees
with desktop computers, laptops, and other IT equipment
Collaborate with IT team members to identify and address
network-related issues proactively, minimizing downtime and
disruptions to production.
Must Haves:
Customer service mindset/great communication skills
Need 5+ years experience as support technician (or other similar
job title such as Field Support Technician)
Hands on experience working with networks/switches
Experience working with servers
Must be okay that it is a manufacturing warehouse environment, its
dusty and dirty (not a typical corporate office)
Plusses:
Worked in a manufacturing environment (STRONG plus)
MS Azure experience
Service Now experience
Experience on Windows 11
