Sales Director, Terex Finlay NA Louisville, KY, US About MP Materials Processing segment contains a portfolio of nine different application specific product lines located in the UK (4 main sites), Germany (1 location), India (1 location) and the US (6 main sites), plus a number of sales and service locations in Thailand, Malaysia and Australia. Each location operates as a separate P & L which consolidates into specific Brands. The segment also shares technologies, common design and shared infrastructure where appropriate. The segment is characterized by niche businesses, which go to market via a third party distribution model as well as direct sales. About Terex Finlay Based in Omagh, Northern Ireland, Terex Finlay designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of mobile crushing and screening equipment for the mining, construction and quarrying markets. With a business worth around $140 million annually, they have a strong presence in Australia, North America, Europe and South Africa. Finlay's 'Go to Market' strategy is principally via a dealer network (approx. 75 dealers globally, with some direct selling in developing markets). TEREX are the Global Number 1 in MOBILE Crushing and Screening. Our goal is to increase market share by strengthening the distribution network and driving real targets, in addition to a number of other initiatives. The Terex Finlay business has a strong history of growth. In the US market Finlay has the most extensive range of mobile crushing, screening and conveying equipment in the market, coupled with one of the strongest dealer networks. Responsibilities The key focus area for the Sales Director Finlay NA is to develop a world class team of territory managers who will partner and support our extensive dealer network to grow and become successful in each of their territories. The successful candidate will create and implement both short term and long range business objectives to grow the business volumes and margins, maximize sales and margin through strong and effective dealer management, organize sales and dealers in the assigned territory to maintain, penetrate and increase sales. Key Tasks * Lead and develop a small team of regional territory managers. * Develop, implement and manage sales and marketing initiatives for Dealer accounts within the assigned region. * Lead the team in development of annual business plans for each dealer account, providing regular documented feedback on progress vs plan throughout the year. * Identify, appoint and assist in the development of new Dealer accounts. * Ensure all Dealer accounts are formally contracted, current and aligned to Terex Standards. * Establish Dealer sales targets and provide forecasts for machines sales. * Secure sales orders for machines whilst striving to maintain or improve sales margins. * Work directly with Dealer accounts to drive sales and improve dealer service levels. * Manage credit control aspects of Dealer accounts. * Train and advise Dealer staff or end users on company products, machine applications, services, warranties and basic aspects of technical sales. * Liaise with other company functions to ensure Dealer accounts have access to engineers, field service and other team members as necessary. * Ongoing research of local market and business activity and identify new opportunities for current and future products. * Gather and collate regular local submission of market data, forecasts and inventory status in line with agreed input for the S+OP process. * Attend trade shows, Dealer conferences, and exhibitions and play an active part in marketing activities. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * A minimum of five years experience in a sales role; Business to Business or Technical sales Preferrd Experience: * Professional level and demonstrated practical knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales * Significant experience of managing Dealer accounts within the capital equipment market business including a Track record of building first class Dealer networks leading to sustainable business growth. * Technical Sales management experience, with a track record of selling value rather than cost. * Professional level practical knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales * Successful track record of implementation of successful business strategies. * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to motivate and lead a team across remote locations * Function well in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines * Self-motivating in achieving goals * Leadership skills * Able to influence and guide at all levels * Creativity and innovative thinking * Excellent interpersonal skills to prepare and deliver formal presentations to customers * Excellent problem solving skills to develop sales strategies * Thorough working knowledge of MS Office packages * Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teams * Time and Territory Management practices must be exceptional * Goal and result orientated with the energy and commitment to drive forward sales to our Dealers and their customers * Significant Regional and some long distance travel is required Location: US-KY Louisville HR Department: Sales Job ID: 5338 Terex Overview: Terex Corporation is a $4.5 billion, publicly traded global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products and services.
