Siemens Mobility US is looking for aspiring Sales or Customer Service professionals to come aboard for a 10-12-week internship journey where they will get exposure to what happens behind the scenes to make the rail world go round.

During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Customer Service and Sales where you will learn how to master the basics of customer service, while being exposed to key practices to assist in the creation of master documents on processes and procedures.

A little bit about us

Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail - including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

How does (department) plays into the big picture?

Customer service is involved in every part of the customer experience, from order quoting to entry to delivery to collecting invoices. There are a wide variety of reports and master information that we provide for customers. We would like to document all these procedures in master documentation.

What you will do...

--- Learn about our standard processes.

--- Work with customer service personnel, contract managers, account managers and engineers through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.

--- Interface with different areas of the sales organization department and learn about how collaboration drives success.

--- Gain insight into documenting essentials related to activities such as: orders, repairs, engineering, IT management, Tableau reports and more!

Basic Qualifications:

--- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Business Administration or relevant degree or similar from an accredited college or university

--- Legal authorization to work in the US is required

--- Must reside or go to school near internship location Louisville, Ky

Preferred Qualifications:

--- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0

--- Previous internship experience or relevant school projects

--- Strong communication skills - verbal and written

--- Ability to work on a team

--- Interest in learning about the rail industry - project management, customer service operations, manufacturing, etc.
